Suruga-cho, Chuo-ku, which can be seen from "Edo Famous Zoukai"

"What you see on New Year's Day, Fuji no Yama Sokan,"

"Surugacho Mitsui Kimono Store" "Edo Famous Zoukai" from the Digital Collection of the National Diet Library

I am an amateur about painting, but I understand that it is a picture that uses perspective, mainly on Mount Fuji. You can also see from the Haiku of the Sokan that it is a picture of the New Year. It's probably a picture depicting the scenery of Surugacho, which is crowded with New Year's Day.

Suruga-cho, Chuo-ku, which can be seen from "Edo Famous Zoukai"

The biggest difference between a picture and a picture is whether Mount Fuji can be seen or not. The name of Surugacho, a photo taken from the current Nihonbashi Muromachi 2-chome intersection, is derived from the fact that you could see Mount Fuji towering over Suruga. At present, you can't see Mount Fuji hidden in the buildings of Otemachi. As you can see from the picture, most of Surugacho is Mitsui Echigoya kimono shop. The left side is the Nihonbashi area, the right side is the Imagawa Bridge area, and the central street heading toward Mount Fuji is the "Edo Sakura-dori St.".

"I don't have a good idea."

Suruga-cho, Chuo-ku, which can be seen from "Genkinkake Nenashi" and "Edo Famous Zoukai".

"Surugacho Mitsui Kimono Store" and "Edo Famous Zoukai" (part) from the Digital Collection of the National Diet Library If you look at the signs on the right side of the picture, you can read "Mitsui Echigo-ya's store badge" Maruni Igirder three "", "Kimono goods", "Genkinkake Nenashi", "Muromachi 2-chome" and "Echigo-ya". This is a commercial law started by Mitsui Echigo-ya by selling it in cash as street cash instead of selling it without selling it. You can see that the signboard says "None genkinkake".

Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store

On the left side, there is still the Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store.

Mitsui Main Building

Suruga-cho, Chuo-ku, which can be seen from the Mitsui Main Building "Edo Famous Zoukai"

On the right side is the Mitsui Main Building, which is famous for its collint-style order column attached to the outer wall of the building. If my memory is correct, the photo problem in question 1 of the "15th Chuo-ku Tourism Test" was almost the same as this photo.
