Let's eat the doll ware deliciously

The Ningyocho area has an old-fashioned atmosphere, and interesting shops are lined up. This area is also suitable for small walks, gourmet tours, historical walks, etc. In the Edo period, it was a major entertainment district lined with playhouses, but you can still feel the lingering sound. The puppet show was also thriving, so the place name [Ningyocho] was born because many puppeteers lived. However, it was officially established in the town name after the Showa era.

One of the specialties of this town is "Doll-yaki". There are several shops that sell, but [Itakuraya] is said to be the birthplace. Founded in 1907, it is a venerable shop. I often take customers to this shop with tourist information. There is an old Seven Lucky Gods on the storefront, so foreign tourists sometimes offer to buy it.

Let's eat the doll ware deliciously

In this shop, we continue hand-baked using the traditional mold, and it will be fun just to see the situation. If you eat freshly baked immediately, the elegant sweetness wrapped in hot and fragrant dough will spread throughout your mouth.

If you take it home as a souvenir and get cold, try warming it with an oven toaster without burning it. Fragrance close to freshly made is revived, and you can enjoy it very much.

Please try it when you go out to Ningyocho.
