At the front stage on the first floor of the main building of Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C., the uniforms of Takashimaya Customer Information Section from 1991 to 2019 are displayed in one hall together with the lovely Rose-chan wearing the same uniform.

Takashimaya introduced Western-style uniforms ahead of other department stores in 1933 (Showa 8), the same as the opening of the Nihonbashi store. The style of dark blue dresses with white lace collars and brown pumps impressed "departments that are strong against marine products" and "advanced department stores", and attracted the longing of women at the time.

Since its founding in 1831 (Tenpo 2), Takashimaya has valued "hospitality" and "enterprising spirit". From this uniform archive collection, I was able to feel the "heart of hospitality" for customers and the "enterprise spirit" that incorporates modern Western uniforms ahead of the times.
