2019 Kanda enshrined deity Festival·Affiliated Festival
The Kanda Festival is one of the three major festivals in Edo and is held once every two years. This year, the event was held to commemorate the throne of His Majesty the Emperor, and portable shrine and others were marked with a fin flag (slender cloth), and many banners were displayed around the precincts and shrines. (May 9-15)
May 11th is the "Shinko Festival" in Main Shinto ritual. It is a magnificent festival with a procession of "Ichinomiya Horai" carrying Shinto priesthood, Miko, Daikoku-sama dressed in colorful Heian costumes, "Ninomiya portable shrine" carrying Ebisu-sama, "Sannomiya Horai" carrying the Shomon-sama, "Isamuyama car" and "Lionhead floats" walking around the town of shrine parishioner.
In the Edo period, along with floats, along with floats, was revived in the Heisei era, and the "Appendix Festival" with elaborate features such as dance towers, floats, towings, and costume parades, started at 15:00 in the vicinity of Arima Elementary School and recreated the old tales "Oeyama Kaido" and "Hanasaki Kayo-san," a large number of Urashima Taro" in Fukushima Prefecture.
