As if golden light bursts between the waves
The last restaurant in Shintomi-cho, "Daikinro" Tekkinro
Shintomiza Children's Kabuki was born in 14 years (2024), and it has become a cultural event in Chuo-ku. Its roots are Kabuki's Shintomiza, which moved to Shintomi-cho in 1875. For 24 years before the Kabukiza was established in Kibori-cho (Ginza 6-chome), Shintomi-cho was the center of the play performance.
The gorgeousness of the time can be seen from the gourmet guide "Flowing 36 Kaiseki" (paint artist, Kunichika Toyohara) by ukiyo-e. The remains are Western eaves (now Ueno Seiyoken), Anko Nabe Isegen in Kandasudacho, Yaozen in Higashikomagata, and Daikinro in Shintomicho.
Founded 151 years ago in 1873, it has survived the great fire of Ginza and the Great Kanto Earthquake, but it will be the biggest crisis after the previous war. When we demolished an aging building to rebuild it, we switched to a new circle and could no longer use our money. "The bank doesn't lend money to the mizusho sales," "If you're in trouble, the customer became the guarantor of the bank and it was built with it" (landlady Noriko Tanioka). That was 1949. It is now a nationally registered Tangible Cultural Property as a precious wooden building of Showa.
There was a house right next to it, and the sound of the shamisen was echoing. But now (2024), there is only one geisha in Shintomi-cho.
The name "Daikinro" is said to represent the shining waves illuminated by light and the fish scale jumping golden. It seems that the desire to taste a lively fish while watching the sea of Tsukiji is included. At that time, I could see the sea from the store.
Relaxing lunch in a private room in Tangible Cultural Property (from 3500 yen) can also be used for business purposes.
kaiseki meal is a counter and private room from 17:30 to 22:00 (reservation required from 10,000 yen). Lunch (Reservation required for private rooms from 11:30 to 13:45 on weekdays)
