"Morikazu Kumagai" painter is said to be a free painter who was not interested in money or fame at all. In 1967 (Showa 42), the Order of Culture was also declined. From his home and atelier, where trees were overgrown, he hardly took a step in his later years, and drew familiar insects, butterflies and cats in a unique form that simplified the color and shape called the "Kumagaya style". The work is still highly acclaimed.
