Kyoden Santo's fashionable books (Yuri literature) and yellow cover (reading materials for adults) were caught, and publisher Tsutashige also had half confiscated his property.

Still, Tsutashige does something new without turning. Utamaro Kitagawa, who had drawn illustrations of Kyoka books, will be full and draw beautiful paintings. It is not a whole body image of a woman like Kiyocho Torii, who was popular in the ukiyo-e paintings of eight-headed beauty at the time, but a face up. I made it a statue of the upper body. At that time, Sharaku's main paintings, which emphasize expressions and individuality, rather than beautifying and drawing actors, seemed to have not been received much. In his later years, Tsutashige's success has become a little lonely. Still, Sharaku's masterpiece draws us today. It may have been that Tsutashige in his later years has passed the times.
