ー Bando Tamasaburo Costume Exhibition "Four Seasons, Nature, Life" SEIKO HOUSE Ginza
SEIKO HOUSE Ginza has started a project to rediscover the charm of Japanese culture, "Time and Japanese Culture Project", and as its first event, Tamasaburo Bando costume exhibition is being held from June 8th.
"A special selection of 10 beautiful costumes in which the scenes of each season in spring, summer, autumn and winter are expressed in a colorful way by craftsmanship from Tamasaburojo's favorite items" (from the pamphlet).
When you step into the 6th floor hall, you will find the costumes actually worn by Tamasaburo on the Kabuki stage at the venue. When asked the person in charge, he said, "You can freely shoot, you can send it on blogs and online" (you should not touch costumes)! In the center, a video with a commentary by Mr. Tamasaburo was played, which made me feel luxurious. Near the stage, such as three new gores worn by Agemaki at the familiar "Sukeroku", a gore of Akoya in "Tanura Kabuto Gunki", and a karaori at Rokujo Gosho on "Aoi no Kami" It is impossible to appreciate it in such a closeness even if you look at the seat. I spent a serene time in the costume filled with the aesthetic sense of Tamasaburo and the skill of the craftsman, remembering the stage where the shimenawa sacred ropes of gold thread swayed.
It's "eye happiness."
The second installment is "Learning from Time" produced by Danjuro Ichikawa on July 4/5, but this is a reservation system in advance and details will be announced later.
