Underground construction work on the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway and Nihonbashi section is progressing little by little.

In addition, a pier (pillar part) that supported the bridge girder just upstream of Edobashi has been cut off, and faces on the surface of the water like a "stump". When I got on a boat from Nihonbashi Pier, I passed right next to it. Because it was a place where humans could not approach, water birds were resting silently. Will this stump be removed from the surface of the water in the future? The work to be made is also difficult, but the work to be removed is also difficult.
