In July 2023, I followed a band's Tohoku tour and went to Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture. Due to heavy rain in Tohoku, the live performance in Akita City the next day was canceled, so we stayed in Sakata for two nights. On the way back, I went to Sakata Station to get on the limited express "Inaho", and there is a banner of Zuiken Kawamura standing in front of the station. 2022 was the 350th anniversary of the opening of the westbound route. Sakata is the starting point, and the route that transported rice from Shimonoseki to the Seto Inland Sea and the Pacific Ocean to Edo via the port of call on the Sea of Japan side was the westbound route. Speaking of now, it's a distant distance, but if you are planning a special cruise ship that follows this route now, I would definitely like to ride it.
