Minatokko Diary Summer Edo Bus Trip ♪ North circulation
Minato kid goes out on the Edo bus.
Edo Bus is a community bus in Chuo-ku.
A cute bus with a trademark cat and a bright red body.
It's a cat! You can ride a 100 yen coin with one coin.
There is a south circulation around the riverside in the direction of Tsukuda and Tsukishima, and a north circulation in the direction of Nihonbashi, both depart and arrive at Chuo-ku government office.
There are about 30 stops, and the time required for one round is about one hour.
It runs every 20 minutes, so it's convenient to remember the key numbers of frequently used bus stops!
In Shintomi 2-chome, it is "3" on weekdays.
Every hour comes in 03 minutes, 23 minutes or 43 minutes.
There are also transit services, advantageous tickets, and bus location systems, so please use them.
The Edo Bus Pupp is issued about twice a year.
"The Stage of Movies, Dramas and Novels" and "News from Sakura"
There are two types, and you can go around Chuo-ku from each theme.
I'm going to take the North Circulation today.
When I got on Shin-ohashi-dori St. from Shin-tomi 2-chome, I saw the book forest Chuo.
Summer flowers are blooming on the sidewalk of Hatchobori.
Turn left and go to Yaesu-dori, and meet Kuyasubashi.
It is a path called Momiji River in the very early days of the Edo period.
I can see Tokyo Station.
If you go one step back at Eitai-dori St. at Yaesu 1-chome, Nishikawabashi Bridge.
At the Chikaku Nipponbashinishi Riverside Jizo-ji Church, in 1938, when performing "Nihonbashi" by Kyoka Izumi at Meijiza, Shotaro Hanayagi, who played the Sensei, prayed for the safety of the performance and dedicated it. There is a figure of "colored Osensei".
The new school classical performance "Nihonbashi" is a play set when this area was once a flower district.
At that time, the names of the towns were Hinokicho, Kamimaki-cho, Sukiyacho, Motodaikumachi, etc.
On the right hand, the red mark of Mitsukoshi draws contrast in the blue sky!
On the left is the massive Neo Baroque architecture of the main building of the Bank of Japan. It was designed by Kingo Tatsuno and completed in 1896. It is said that it was modeled on the central bank of Belgium.
We turned around Choredo Muromachi Terrace and went to Chuo-dori.
Wow~! This is the Mitsui Main Building!
Colint-style order column! The building was completed in 1929, designed by Tasuke Yokokawa.
There is also a large safe made by Mothra, USA, with a diameter of 2.5m and a weight of 50t.
It's going to take the Chuo-ku sightseeing test!
Turn left without crossing Nihonbashi.
Edo Sakura-dori St.
In spring, it is full of both hands, thin and colored promenade.
Showa-dori and the highway running on top of it came to be seen!
Go straight and see the blue sky on the windows of the buildings lined up. It's like a big screen.
I entered Temmacho.
There are many wholesalers related to clothing.
Take the Edo-dori St. and go through Kodemmacho.
As I was running along Kiyosubashi-dori, I just met a volunteer flower bed that colors the sidewalks of Chuo-ku, replanting the "flowering town corner".
I can see Meijiza. The colorful banners are dazzling.
Looking at Hamacho Park, Japanese lantern lined up in a row and was preparing for the Oedo Festival Bon Dance Festival (held on August 25, 2023, 26, 2023).
Cross Shin-ohashi-dori St. to Hamacho and Nakasu.
Writer Kafu Nagai always swam in the Sumida River in summer when he was a boy.
The memory of going up to the shore of Nakasu and watching a play at Masagoza with a swimsuit is written in "Summer Town" (1910).
I found the word "Shobu Bridge".
Shobu Bridge is a bridge that spans the Hakozaki River, and was a ramen abutment bridge completed in 1926 as an earthquake reconstruction bridge. The name of the bridge comes from the fact that this area was once called Ayame Riverside.
It was removed in 1970 due to the construction of a highway.
The remnants of the Hakozaki River have completely disappeared, but it is wonderful to keep the remnants in the name of the town in this way.
You can see Kiyosu Bridge in front of you!
An elegant suspension bridge modeled on a bridge over the Cologne River in Germany.
It is one of the earthquake reconstruction bridges built in 1927.
It forms a pair with the strong Eitai Bridge and has both become important cultural properties of the country.
I waving my hand to Kiyosu Bridge and I'll be on the right.
Every time you cross the alley, a highway running on the Sumida River Ohashi follows from that moment!
I went to Suitengu Street.
If you look up, you will be overwhelmed by the magnificence of the terminal.
Tokyo City Air Terminal.
Everyone is on a journey from here.
I want to have a stylish dinner at the Royal Park Hotel!
It's a local landmark and symbol.
On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, it will be a route where the Edo bus stops at the Royal Park Hotel.
Edo bus that runs through Suitengu Street.
When I turned around, I found a large ginkgo tree across the alley.
A large ginkgo tree in Kakigara Park.
Now it's full of greenery in both hands.
I've seen Suitengu Shrine. The intersection of Ningyocho-dori.
Doll grilling looks delicious~
It's a karakuri clock tower!
There are two types of clock towers: Edo rakugo and Edo fire extinguisher.
When it's time, the doll moves!
Sir…There are a lot of interesting signboard architecture on Ningyocho Street.
I entered Hakozaki Minatobashi Street.
Minato Bridge is a bridge with a very old history that was built in 1679.
Hatchobori and gunshops were once reclaimed, and this was once the center of Edo Minato and prospered as a key point for boat transportation.
The current bridge was completed in 1928, and the relief of the ship is impressive.
I entered Shinkawa, the former Reigishi Island.
It is an island that was reclaimed in 1624 by Reigan Yuyoshonin. The ground was soft and sometimes called Konjac Island.
Wave your hand to Reigishi Bridge and Shin-Kameshima Bridge, and look at the glitter of the Kamejima River from above Kamejima Bridge.
At the foot of the bridge, there is a monument to Takeyuki Horibe.
After the defeat, Nanji Akaho crossed this bridge and returned.
I came back to Yaesu Street.
Jan Jooss Ten, right now!
Jan Jooss Ten, a Dutch navigator of the East India Company, who drifted to Bungo's country and worked as a diplomatic adviser to Ieyasu.
It seems that he worshiped this area and was popular with Edo children.
While it is called Yayosu, the sound changes as Yayosu and Yasu, and the name remains in the current place name.
Turn to Heisei-dori while looking at Kuyasu Bridge that I just crossed.
I entered Hatchobori.
Get off at Shintomi Kuminkan and stop by Honnomori Chuo.
Minato-chan pressed the drop-off button.
Thank you for the cat of Edo bus!
"Minato kid, ride again!"
The cat of the Edo bus shakes his hand.
See you again!
It was Minato kid who enjoyed a lot of summer Edo bus trip.
