Mizumaru Anzai Original Painting Exhibition-Scenery with Fruits and Toys along with Gikare Prints in Noevia Ginza Gallery
From August 21st (Mon) to October 20th (Fri), 2023, "Mizumaru Anzai Original Painting Exhibition-Scenery with Fruits and Toys along with Gikare Prints" is being held at "Noevia Ginza Gallery". Admission is free. The location is along Namiki-dori St. in Ginza 7-chome.
The photo above is a photo of the venue. Mizumaru Anzai (1942-2014) is an illustrator who was active in the cover and illustrations of Haruki Murakami's book, picture books, manga, advertisements, etc. He drew a line that crossed the screen, which he called "Horizone (horizontal line), and drew many accessories around him. He received many awards such as the 1985 Associate-Asahi Advertising Award, Mainichi Advertising Award, 1987 Japan Graphic Exhibition Annual Writer Excellence Award, 1988 Kinema Junpo Reader Award, and the novel "Amarilis" and essay "Aoyama no Aozora" There are many books such as the picture book "Gatangotangotangotangotangotangotangotangotangotangotangoto".
In this exhibition, along with Mizumaru Anzai's "Original Paintings", "Gicre Prints" produced from the original drawings are exhibited. The lower part of the photo above is "Original drawing" and the upper part is "Gicre print". Gicre print is a method of producing prints using a computer (dicre means "spraying ink" in French). It is a technique of spraying ink directly to print paper or campus. At present, it is said to be the printmaking method closest to the original. In this exhibition, works that Mizumaru Anzai draws his favorite toys with fruits are collected. Please enjoy Anzai's unique world view, which stands out with the presence of fresh fruits, with "original paintings" and "jicre prints".
