Ginza Lion is the oldest beer hall in Japan

The other day, I came to Ginza Lion for dinner.

The Ginza Lion Building (Ginza 7-chome 9-20) stands on the corner of Ginza Street.

As Japan's oldest beer hall, it was registered in Tangible Cultural Property on February 17, 2022.

This is a registered building.

The building was completed in 1934 as the head office building of Dainippon Beer Co., Ltd., and the first floor is located on the ground floor.

It started operating as a beer hall, and after the war it was requisitioned by GHQ, but after that.

Until now, we continue to operate as a beer hall.

It's a registered Tangible Cultural Property plate.

Actually, when I visited in February of this year, there was no plate of this cultural property yet.

When I heard the story, it was registered last February, but the plate has not arrived yet.

That's right.

After that, it arrived in April, and this time we considered where to put it, and the business hours were before.

There was a solid plate on the right side of the store entrance arch where it was posted!

The mosaic on the front of the hall on the first floor is impressive.

The mosaic in front of the first floor hall is a masterpiece Ginza Lion is the oldest beer hall in Japan.

Actually, we had a meal on the second floor, but we asked you to see the first floor hall.

I was very happy to see you.

The glass mosaic on the front of the masterpiece with the theme of harvest and fertility is 256 colors, shining throughout the hall.

If you look closely, the color gradation will be wonderfully overwhelming.

It was featured in the "New Beauty Giants" (TV Tokyo) on May 13, 2023 (Saturday), 2023.

There are some interesting stories among them, and this time I have actually seen them.

・The surrounding mosaic murals are based on the theme of flowers and fruits, but in fact on the upper part of the murals on the right.

"Insect" was drawn!

・Next to the stairs going up to the second floor, there is a doll with the name tag of honorary manager "Tarbo".

It was Sanyutei Kinma who continued to visit Beer Hall Lion with this doll.
