Tsukuda digging where Indian spot-billed duck chicks grow up
On May 30, I found a parent and child from Indian spot-billed duck with nine chicks on Ukishima Island in Ishikawajima Park. Occasionally, while seeing this smiling and calm sight with the staff of the Chuo-ku Water and Green Division, I was able to talk about the problem of garbage scattering and fishing line dumping around Ukishima. However, in the evening of that day, I confirmed the parents and children returning to Ukishima, but in the morning I had nowhere else. Where did you go?
Early in the morning of June 4, I went to Tsukuda digging to look for parents and children. Tsukuda digging has been undergoing a large-scale maintenance of the Chuo-ku Water and Green Division since this winter, so we do not see regular moats little egret and goisons rest their wings. When I tried to give up, I heard Indian spot-billed duck's cry. If you look closely, there are moat walls and chicks that have become protective colors.
It's not time for construction to begin yet, but we will move to the construction area.
The construction will be completed at the end of June. The dry moat looks like a muddy.
Do the parent bird knows where it is safe? I'm going forward with the chicks.
Even if you are thirsty, the only water you drink is pooled water.
I finally came to a place where I could rest my wings. The chicks imitated as the parent bird did, and began to repair them. I have a lot of stomach and my throat moisturized? At the back of Tsukuda digging, the maintenance work has been completed, but the circulation of water has stopped in this construction. I just hope that a safe environment will be established soon.
I heard a heartwarming episode.
Yesterday, a person involved in the construction found a place where one chick had been peeled off, and took him to his parents.
I would like to watch all of you so that the chicks can safely large adult bird with the clear water of Tsukuda digging.
