Boat Transportation Guide Boarding Experience (Whole Coast)
On September 30, 2023, during the training of the hospitality staff of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association, I went to the boarding experience of a boating guide.
From the Asashio Canal, turn back off Harumi, Odaiba, and off the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal, go from Toyosu to Yumenoshima, and finally go around the Sumida River to return. While listening to the guide of a wonderful lecturer who was blessed with good weather, we enjoyed the new changing Gulf area from the waterside.
In the photo, we returned to the Sumida River from the Harumi Canal to the upper reaches of the Eitai Bridge and the Sky Tree distant view.
Chuo-ohashi Bridge's "Messenger Statue" (written by sculptor Ossen Zackin) was given by the city of Paris to commemorate the friendship between the Sumida River in Tokyo and the Seine in Paris, but only the back from the bridge can be seen. This time, it looks up from below, but I was able to take a positive picture.
If you leave Harumi, you will be out of Chuo-ku, but please enjoy some photos.
The Rainbow Bridge was opened in August 1993, so I am just 30 years old. Do you know the official name is "Tokyo Port Communication Bridge"? While there is a height limit by Haneda Airport, the height of the bridge girder was 52 meters, assuming that `` Queen Elizabeth 2 '', which was said to be a symbol of luxury cruise ships at the time of design, would be berthed at the Harumi Passenger Terminal. Was. However, after completion, Queen Elizabeth 2 never passed the Rainbow Bridge. With the increasing size of cruise ships, the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal opened in 2020 to accommodate the arrival and departure of large cruise ships, but it was only 2023 that overseas cruise ships actually entered the port under COVID-19.
From the boat, you can see the third Daiba (open as a park) and the sixth Daiba (uninhabited island) from nearby. It was built in the late Edo period to defend Edo Bay by the arrival of Perry, but most of them have been landfilled or removed since the Meiji era, and only these two remain and are now designated as national historic sites. Has been done.
In front of Harumi Wharf Park, a sailing boat sailing ship "Nippon Maru" was anchored. Unfortunately, the sails were not stretched, but I enjoyed the beautiful appearance in the blue sky.
Passing the "Chuo-ku Tourism Certification" is the first step in registering with the Chuo-ku Tourism Hospitality Staff.
