Sake of Hakutsuru Nishiki in the sky, Ginza

The other day, when I participated in a training on sake for interpreters (held at "Hakuzuru Ginza Style @ Ginza Hakutsuru Building"), I visited the rice field on the roof of the building for the first time. rosemary sea's correspondent blog post was introduced several times in the blog post of Chuo-ku Tourism Association, so I actually wanted to go there once.

The area of the rice field named "Hakuzuru Ginza Tenku Farm" is about 110 square meters. The tennis doubles court has an area of 260.76 square meters, so it is less than one side. In 2007, at the Hakutsuru Ginza Tenku Farm, a long-established brewery in Nada, Hakutsuru Sake Brewery began cultivating its own sake rice, Hakutsuru Nishiki (Yamada Nishiki's brother variety). It is imagined that rice cultivation on the roof of a building in Ginza in the middle of Tokyo is not easy, but since 2013, we have released sake prepared only from "Hakuzuru Nishiki" harvested every year at "Hakuzuru Ginza Tenku Farm".
According to the story I heard during the training, the yield of rice per year is about 50 kg with paddy, and the amount of sake that can be prepared is about 50 to 60 bottles of 500ml bottles. In recent years, in June, a limited number of 40 bottles (reference retail price of this year: 10,700 yen + consumption tax) were sold at limited stores in Ginza. I am. According to the official SNS of Hakutsuru Sake Brewery, all rice harvesting was completed on October 17. I usually mainly focus on wine, and I don't drink much sake, but I would like to buy and taste this precious sake next June.
