[The 55th Excursion Series] Ozu Washi-related Historic Sites found in Matsusaka City
Hello. It's Hanes.
Last year, when I visited Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture, famous for Matsusaka beef, I had the opportunity to pass in front of the former Ozu Seizaemon family.
The Ozu family is an Ise merchant who owns an Edo store that named Kiyozaemon Yoyo.
Among them, Ozu Seizaemon Nagahiro opened a paper wholesaler in Nihonbashi in 1653.
At the Ozu Archives in Nihonbashi Honmachi, approximately 1,000 ancient document items registered as Chuo Ward Tangible Cultural Property are displayed on display.
Near the former Ozu Seizaemon family, there is Matsuzaka Castle Ruins, a nationally designated historic site, 100 famous castles in Japan, but I got information that there is also an Ozu Washi version in this castle seal.
This time, I purchased a castle seal for the first time because there is a connection in Chuo-ku!
The castle seal of Japanese paper also has a taste!
At the Ozu Archives, you can observe the exhibition as mentioned above and experience handmade Japanese paper.
When you visit Chuo-ku, why don't you experience something that can only be done in Chuo-ku?
Specifically, please see "Ozu Washi" Ozu Historical Archives "" and "Chuo-ku Machikado Exhibition Hall" Ozu Historical Archives "".
