We have introduced the willows of Ginza that have been planted in various parts of Japan so far. Did you know that Ginza willows have been planted in Nara City, Nara Prefecture?

According to the "History of the Resurrection of Ginza's Willow" in the Chuo Kumin Shimbun, in 1996, Suzakumon north "Heijo-kyo Site" (Hirajo Palace Site?) Two trees were planted in the area, and a stone monument "Ginza Shidare willow" was built.
In 1997, 18 trees were planted on the shores of Araike, and there is a record that a willow history explanation board was set up. .

So, I was worried that I could still meet the willows of Ginza on the site of Heijo Palace and the shores of Araike, so I went to the site.

When I came to the site of Heijogu Shrine, I noticed that many willows were planted around Suzakumon.

I went north of Suzakumon and crossed the tracks to stroll through the wide Heijo Palace ruins, but I couldn't find a signboard about willows in Ginza.
When I moved to Araike while thinking, "Some of these willows may be related to Ginza."...

Many willows planted on the shores of the pond have jumped into my eyes!
This time, I looked around the trees with the hope that the word "Ginza's willow" may be confirmed, but what I was able to confirm was the tree name plate of "Shidare willow".

I looked around a little in a hurry, so I couldn't see what the willows in Ginza planted in Nara City about 30 years ago are now, but at that time the willows in Ginza were planted I was able to know that the willows are still lush in the place where it was done.
