2019 Hydrangea (true flower) flowering
On June 11, the Tokyo Regional Meteorological Observatory reported one of the biological seasonal observation information, "flowering of hydrangea (true flower)". 4 days later than normal and 12 days later than last year.
In the Tokyo region, the rainy season begins on the 7th, and the days covered with thick rain clouds continue every day, but hydrangeas representing the season are also blooming in the Hamarikyu Onshi Garden.
Common hydrangeas cover the "true flower" (bisexual flower) in the center, and the "decoration" (neutralization) of petal-shaped sepals form a spherical inflorescence, but "hydrangea flowering" is "the first day when the standard tree 'true flower' blooms two or three flowers. In addition to ornamental flower blooming around the true flowers and ornamental flower forming a dense inflorescence with a spherical inflorescence, ornamental flower is single or double-flowered, flower shape, flower color, etc.
The wild "Yama Hydrangea" (upper left image) found near the water bus departure point is also called "Kogaku" because the inflorescence is smaller than "bigleaf hydrangea" and "Sawa Hydrangea" because it tends to grow along moist forests and swamps. The leaves are thin, elongated, small, luster, thin branches, and delicate overall.
