This year, "Chuo-ku history map collection" is distributed at a special price!
It's moss.
We obtained information that "Chuo-ku History Chart", an important material for understanding the history of Chuo-ku, will be distributed at affordable prices for a limited time.
Actually, a similar project was being held at the beginning of this year, but I missed the opportunity.
Reference: "Chuo-ku history map collection" is being distributed at a surprising price! Mr. byyo-chan
I have obtained it this time, so I would like to briefly introduce the contents of the report.
What is the Chuo-ku History Map?
The Chuo-ku History Book was published in 1995 by the Chuo-ku Board of Education of Tokyo as a document summarizing maps of each era so that you can see the transition from Edo to the present in Chuo-ku. .
In addition to simply summarizing the map, the map is accompanied by commentary and supplementary information, so it is very easy to understand as a historical material and can be enjoyed as a reading material.
・Kyobashi Hen
・Nihonbashi Hen
・Tsukishima Hen
There are three books, and special features are set up for each area.
Here's the contents.
A lot of maps of the Edo period are also included, but if you look at one of them, "Ofunai History Book", you can learn about the changes in land during the Edo period.
For example, let's take a look at the map of Nihonbashi 1-2-chome, which is currently undergoing redevelopment.
During the Enpo era (1673-1681), Hirokoji, a remnant of Iribori, which played an important role in the construction of Edo Castle, spread from Shinbabashi to the current "Sakura-dori St.". You can see.
In addition, there were three "Iribori" left from Kaedegawa, which is now the capital highway Toshin Beltway.
In the Genroku era (1688-1704), Hirokoji disappeared, and Iribori was reclaimed, and the density of the town increased.
Of course, not only the Edo period, but also relatively recent maps since the Meiji era are also posted.
A picture map of Ningyocho issued in 1977 is also posted, so some people may feel nostalgic about the bustle of Ningyocho at that time.

※Since high banknotes cannot be exchanged, it would be better to prepare them so that there is no change.
※Each drawing is B4 size and has a heavy weight, so it is convenient to prepare a large rucksack. (I carried three books with both arms, but it was quite difficult.)
