The cherry blossoms of Higashine City have come! "The 19th Chuo-ku Cherry Festival"

Hello. I'm Hanes, an active correspondent.
From June 15 (Sat) to 16 (Sun), the 19th Chuo-ku Cherry Festival was held, hosted by Higashine City, Yamagata Prefecture, a friendship city. .

The "Cherry Seed Skipping Chuo-ku Tsukiji Grand Prix 2019", which began in 2011 with the aim of promoting cherries after Great East Japan Earthquake, was scheduled to be held on the 15th, but unfortunately canceled due to rainy weather.
However, in addition to the sale of cherries at Plat Tsukiji, at Ichiba Bridge Park, the seed skipping venue, people from Higashine City distributed cherries free of charge in the rain and transmitted the charm of Higashine City.

On the other hand, on the 16th, cherry seed skipping was held at Tsukishima Nishinakadori Shopping Street, so I participated for the first time!

Well, I've done it!
This is the state of the seed skipping venue before the reception starts (12:30).
There were already about 100 participants with family members.
According to those who participated last year, this year was blessed with the weather and it was a great success.

Participants waiting for the reception in the hot weather were given fans and Tanto-kun candy from Higashine City, depicting the fruit tree kingdom Higashine image character "Tanto-kun".
And at the reception, you will receive this tournament reception slip, a cup containing 5 cherries for seed skipping, and a cherry pack for participation prize.

After filling out the necessary information on the tournament reception slip, it will be arranged in a row of seed skipping, but what is worrisome is the tournament record.
Results of confirmation with interest...Even though the rolling part is included in the distance, it is a phenomenal distance of 20m5cm for the general part, 14m68cm for the ladies part, and 12m11cm for the child part!

Even the average high school girls who throw a hand (soft) ball in a physical fitness test is about 15m.
I can't help but wonder how to fly so much!
Since all of the top places so far are Yamagata and Miyagi prefectures, it is likely to be a tough battle for participants from Chuo-ku.

Simulate how to fly seeds in the brain while arranging them in columns.
"Is it better to fly diagonally up and draw an arc?" While thinking about such things, the tournament starts!
Due to the headwind blowing, my turn came around in a situation where even men hardly exceeded 10m.

Results of flying as simulated...
I didn't fly as much as 3 meters (laughs).
It's somewhat frustrating that it's half of the prescribed distance of 6m in the Ladies' Club, but I was able to participate happily.
Seeding seems easy at first glance, but it's surprisingly difficult to fly far!

After that, I looked into the special product sales booth and remembered Higashine City in January and the Snow Festival held at Akatsuki Park in February.

I would like to make the cherries I received this time cool and delicious.
It seems that open-air cherries hunting in Higashine City can be enjoyed from peaking in June to early July.
I recommend this time right now.

Next, I would like to visit Higashine City at the timing of cherry picking and see the willows in Ginza with green leaves.
