Bunzaemon thinks that if you buy cheap mandarin oranges here and carry them to Edo, where you buy them high, you will make a profit. Everyone may be able to come up with it, but the person who can take action is a successful person. He borrows a lot of money from his father-in-law to purchase a large amount of mandarin oranges, hurry up the ragged ship, and gathers seafarers. I knew it was a life-threatening job, so only the rough people came together. Instead of asking others to stop, they will be sailors with three times the pay, and to show their determination, they will put on white clothing and put on a triangular cloth on their head to make the sailor feel of death. In Edo, there is a fuigo festival where blacksmiths, swordsmiths, casters, and other craftsmen who handle fire work tools that they usually use, purify the fuigo, decorate them, and offer oranges. . There are many legends left in Bunzaemon.
For example, it is said that during the Great Fire of the Meiryaku era, the so-called kimono fire, he bought up timber and made a great profit. However, it should not have been born in 1657, when the fire broke out. About 50 years older than Bunzaemon, it is mixed with Zuiken Kawamura, an Australian merchant who set up a large house in the Shinkawa area and also handled timber, buying Kiso timber during the great fire of the Meiryaku era. .
Zuiken Kawamura is the man who mined Shinkawa. We will develop a route to send Oshu rice to Edo, and we will work on flood control in Kinai by Shuji Yodo River in Osaka. It is called the man who built Edo. The plate of the ruins of the Zuiken Kawamura mansion is located along Eitai-dori St. Kameshima Bridge also mentions Ruiken, and the name appears on the monument at the site of Shinkawa.

It is said that the shop later moved to Fukagawa and built Koba, but it was burned down by fire and closed the lumber shop.
The business that was rumored to have been commissioned by the Shogunate to cast Hoei era Tsuho (Jubunsen) and invested all the property, was poor in the quality of Jubunsen. Then, the fifth shogun Tsunayoshi died, and in one year the Hoei era Tsuho was abolished. Yoshiyasu Yanagisawa was also expelled, and he seems to have lost his willingness to do business. After moving to Senso-ji Temple, he seemed to have lived in the back of Fukagawa Hachimangu Shrine.
There is also a theory that he continued to interact with cultural figures such as Kikaku Enomoto and others, dedicated three portable shrines to Tomioka Hachimangu Shrine Fukagawa, and stored a lot of wood at Katori-jingu Shrine.

Even if you look at the book forest Chuo, for example, if you look at some house maps near Hatchobori before and after Genroku period, there is no description of Bunzaemon Kinokuniya, and almost all of the Ichimachi of Honhachichobori were Bunzaemon's shops and mansions. Iku Yamamoto's book "Bunzaemon Kinokuniya's Life" was also a novel. There is a theory that there is a novel called "Golden Water Great Susumu Cup" written at the end of the Meiji era, and anecdotes of several wealthy people are concentrated in a person named Bunzaemon.
However, if it was actually alive, it would have lived in the back of Fukagawa Hachimangu Shrine and, in a sense, had a lively life with his rival Mozaemon Naraya on Reiganjima on the opposite bank. Unlike large merchants who accumulate reserves such as Mitsui and Sumitomo and remain in future generations, those who scatter like fireworks are Edokko, especially those who are loved by Fukagawa kid, and such a large garden is Bunzaemon Some scholars claim that it must have been the site of the mansion.
Hatchobori today has no remnants of around the Genroku era. There is nothing to write the footsteps of Bunzaemon. But they leave something like a dream.
