The Higashiboriru River was revived for the first time in 75 years.
Horidome Children's Park, a standard walking course for our dogs, began renovation work in December 2022, and the construction was completed in December last year, and finally resumed use. The playground equipment has been renewed, and a biotope has been created, making the children's park look great. In addition, the number of benches has increased considerably, and it has been reborn as a park where adults can relax slowly.
The Higashiboriru River was revived for the first time in 75 years.
However, it is worth noting that a small river was built in the park. It is a cute waterway with a total length of 25m x a width of 80cm (estimated), but this is the revival of the Higashiboriru River, which was built here in the early Edo period and reclaimed in 1948. The Higashiboriru River was piercing the park from near Koamicho Children's Amusement Park on the Nihonbashi River by grazing Koami Shrine. I see the roads in front of Koamicho Children's Amusement Park and on the south side of Horidome Children's Park, and walk while feeling that there was a bank of the Higashiboriru River here. I hope that those who visit this park will feel the remnants of the Higashiboriru River, even though it is a water place that can be found anywhere.
