I'm lucky! Four spots related to dragon and dragon in Chuo-ku

Hello. I'm Hanes, an active correspondent.
For the past few years, I've been writing an article focusing on the Chinese zodiac right at the beginning of the new year, but this year it's been the last month of the first half, June!
The dragon year has been about half left, but we will introduce dragon and dragon related spots in Chuo-ku.

Koami Shrine

The first one to introduce is Koami Shrine, one of the shrines dedicated to the Seven Lucky Gods of Nihonbashi, which is visited by worshipers every day.
Also famous for the Tokyo Senrai Benten and the November Doburoku Festival, do you know that there are sculptures of rising dragons and descending dragons, which are worshiped as symbols of the benefit ofshrine hall worship?

According to Koami Shrine, "The rising dragon is passed on to God in response to the prayers and wishes of worshipers, and" descending dragon "will give worshipers the virtue ( Shintoku) from God to worshipers." It is said.

A dragon

Koami Shrine, known as the "God of Good luck protection against misfortune," has various episodes that support the benefits.
The most famous ones are as follows.

①He decided to go to the battlefield during World War II, attended the expeditional ceremony here, and all the soldiers of the Ujiko who received the shrine's talismans were alive.
②The buildings in the precincts, including the shrine hall, miraculously survived the war.
③When Miyaji evacuated to Shinohashi with sacred object of worship during the Great Kanto Earthquake, Shin-ohashi Bridge itself did not fall, saving the lives of many people.

If you pray for good luck at Koami Shrine in a bad year, you will be able to send a year that is unrelated to disaster.

Tsukiji Eto Building

Next is the Tsukiji Eto Building, which was introduced every year in 1996!
The dragon with a unique expression is very impressive.
When walking around Tsukiji, why not stop in front of this building and look for your own zodiac sign?

Hajime Shrine

Introduction from Tsukiji again!
At Haji Shrine, we give and receive a charm called "Zodiac Guard", and there are Earthly Branches lanterns containing dragons on the grounds.

And from June 7th to 10th, the summer festival "Tsukiji Lion Festival" will be held.
The origin of this festival dates back to the foundation of this shrine during the Manji period (1658-1661).
At that time, when reclaiming the Tsukiji area was extremely difficult due to the waves, when worshiping the fine sacred object of worship of Inari Oga found in the sea, the waves subsided and the construction proceeded smoothly.
At that time, the Tsukiji Lion Festival was the beginning of the "Tsukiji Lion Festival" that followed the clouds dedicated at that time, the "dragon" that followed the wind, and the "lion" that threatening all things with a single voice. .

At present, a pair of lion heads are enshrined on the precincts, and are registered as a ward-owned folk cultural property as "Lionhead of Namishi Inari Shrine". (In addition, as introduced the other day, the female lion's "Tooguro Lion" has been restored until the end of August.)

Tsukuda Machikado Exhibition Hall

The lion head is also left in Tsukuda, located on the east side of the Sumida River, and the lion head of the city's private folk cultural property "Ryutora lion head" and the lion head of Sumiyoshi Tsukuda (Ryutora / Kurokoma) in Designated Cultural Property, Chuo-ku.
This lion head was once carried out at Miyade Shinto ritual of the Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine Festival, but it is said that it is now deified and enshrined in Kariya.

I think it's a lion head that you don't usually see because it's a cultural property, and in fact you can see it freely at the Tsukuda Machikado Exhibition Hall.♪

However, be careful because there are days when the lion head is not displayed for reasons such as restoration!
On weekdays, to prevent deterioration due to ultraviolet rays, photos are introduced only.
