Kano school Gaho Hashimoto, Kiboricho
Ryutora Figure Screen 1895 (1895)
Open to the public at the Seikado Bunko Art Museum until February 3!
Hello, it's "Take-chan". Do you know Gaho Hashimoto (Hashimoto)? In late January, I went to the Seikado Bunko Art Museum Museum in Meiji Seimeikan, 2-chome Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku. At that time, I found a powerful folding screen of a stunning dragon and a tiger, and when I looked at the author, there was "Gaho Hashimoto" in Kano school, Kibikicho, so I checked it after returning home.
Gaho Hashimoto was born in 1835 in Kibiki-cho (currently around Higashi-Ginza Station) and worked as a Japanese painter in the Meiji era. At Ginza 5-chome, there is a signboard of the ruins of Kano Art School. Until now, I remember only the word Kano school to take the Chuo-ku sightseeing test, but this time I saw a picture of Kano school and I was "Take-chan" again realized the greatness.
