First tour of the Tokyo Stock Exchange Arrows

On February 22, 2024, the Nikkei Stock Average updated its record high for the first time in 34 years on December 29, 1989, during the bubble economy period. According to economic news, it seems to be a move following Nvi Deer, a major AI chip maker, which exceeds market expectations.
So I came up with this idea and decided to visit the Tokyo Stock Exchange Arrows, a tour facility for the Tokyo Stock Exchange. It seems that you can do a "free tour" that does not require a reservation, but since the first visit does not understand your selfishness, you can make a "guide tour (free)" online reservation. At the end of February, we participated in a program of about 60 minutes (video screening: about 10 minutes + description of Arrows on the Tokyo Stock Exchange: about 50 minutes).

Construction of the current Tokyo Stock Exchange Building started in 1982. The construction took six years, and the entire building (market building and main building) was completed in 1988. On the stone wall with a solid impression, the finest Inada stone (a typical stone of white granite). Granite mined in the Inada area of Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture, also known as "white lady") is used.
The east exit entrance (upper left in the photo) is the direction of Tatsumi, which is said to have good luck in Feng Shui. Admission to the Tokyo Stock Exchange Arrows is from the entrance to the West Exit Tour on the other side (top right of the photo).

Until April 1999, when transactions were digitized, approximately 2,000 securitized, the market center was a stock exchange meeting place where the market division of the Tokyo Stock Exchange conducted trading. The giant electronic bulletin board "Chicker" spins around the top of a giant glass cylinder with a diameter of 17m and a height of 10m. The higher the transaction volume, the faster the circulation speed is in four stages.
By the way, red is an auspicious color, so the red number is a positive value (the stock price is higher than the previous day) instead of "red". The negative value (the stock price is lower than the previous day) is displayed in green.

The listed bell (upper left in the photo) is hit five times at the first day of the listing ceremony when companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange start trading. The number of times five is derived from "five grain harvest", and it seems that the wish for the prosperity of the company is included. It is also hit at a major event (the first trading day of the New Year) or a Dainokai (the last trading day of the end of the year).

At the Stock Investment Experience Corner, you can experience buying and selling stocks using news and company information distributed in the virtual securities market as a source of judgment. This time, I wanted to participate in the "stock investment experience" course (about 30 minutes).

You can purchase original goods with the JPX (*) logo at the vending machine at the tour souvenir corner. In addition to the classic items of souvenirs such as ballpoint pens and T-shirts, a charm of Kabuto Shrine was sold.
※JPX is an abbreviation of Japan Exchange Group, Inc., the parent company of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

At the Tokyo Stock Exchange Arrows, in addition to the "guided tour tour" that I participated in, there are courses (free of charge) such as "lectures for companies", "lectures for university students", "experiences for stock investment", and "everyone lectures and investment experiences".
