A cooking class at Tsukiji Outer Market. Next time on April 3rd, tempura!

"Tsukiji Fish Bank" in Tsukiji Outer Market, where professionals come to buy. On the first floor, there are wholesalers selling fresh fish and seafood, but on the third floor there are restaurants and other facilities that can be used by anyone. And the fish riverbank studio is also on the third floor. Here, there are various cooking events that can be learned from professionals every month.

March was the annual "Tick Rolling Festival Rizushi Class". I've always been interested in this festival. I applied for and participated immediately. The teacher is a certified lecturer of the Chiba Traditional regional cuisine Study Group. He lives in Chiba and teaches at cooking classes to convey the skills of "Tick Rolling Festival Rizushi", and has also appeared at events that introduce Japanese culture overseas.

"Taimaki Festival Rizushi" is a colorful and cute thick roll that has been handed down from generation to generation in the Boso region of Chiba Prefecture, and is a traditional dish that is indispensable for celebration festivals. The author participated in "Momohana" in the morning. After watching the teacher's demonstration, they practice one by one. In the demonstration, they taught me detailed tips, so I was able to make it beautiful even for the first time. It would be nice to be able to make it with materials that can be easily obtained at home. In addition, the combination of ingredients is devised so that it is not only cute in appearance, but also delicious when eaten. Rice is tasted, so you can eat without soy sauce. I love eating, but I'm a little clumsy writer, but in just an hour and a half, I was able to make such a wonderful thick roll alone!

Finally, there were three types of demonstrations of "Tick Rolling Festival Rizushi" by the teachers. I would like to make rose flowers at home! Once you learn it, you will be able to make it while looking at a book.

The "Tick Rolling Festival Rizushi Classroom", which can be used in lunch boxes and parties, is held once a year in March. In April, a “Tempura Class to Make Immediately” will be held on April 3. What a Kappo cuisine cook from Kagurazaka! For those who say, "I'm not good at frying tempura" or "I'm afraid of oil jumping," they will tell you the points where you can make crisp tempura at home. (There is no cooking practice in this course.)
