"Sushi" cherry blossom viewing spot on Sumida River Terrace
This year, after the cherry blossoms bloomed, the rain continued every day, but last weekend was blessed with the weather and it was a great day for cherry blossom viewing.
There are many cherry blossom viewing spots in Chuo-ku, but my favorite is the cherry blossoms on the Sumida River Terrace.
If you go up the Sumida River toward Asakusa by water bus such as the Tokyo Mizube Line from Odaiba or Takeshiba, you can enjoy a row of cherry blossom trees like pink clouds on both banks.
(The photo shows the Chuo-ohashi Bridge and the Sumida River Terrace, which can be seen from the water bus. You can also see the Tokyo Sky Tree behind Chuo-ohashi Bridge.
If you want to enjoy the cherry blossoms a little closer, we recommend the area on the Sumida River Terrace that runs from Ishikawajima Park to Paris Square to Tsukuda Park.

The nearest station to Ishikawajima Park and Tsukuda Park is Tsukishima Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line / Toei Oedo Line.
I like to go around Tsukuda Island from Tsukishima Station opposite the clock.
The red arrow on the map is my recommended cherry blossom viewing course, and the numbers are relative to the numbers in the photo below.
There are not many tourists in this area, so the congestion is relatively low and you can stroll at your own pace.
Also, there are large lawns around promenade, so some people lie down or spread their lunch boxes.
However, you should take your own trash home.

Some people relax by spreading leisure sheets on the lawn.

The flowers of the colorful flowerbed are also beautiful.

④Chuo-ohashi Bridge and Cherry Blossoms
You can also see the Tokyo Sky Tree in the back.
⑤Two cherry blossom tunnels
This area is the place where many cherry blossoms bloom.

The benches are scattered so you can sit down and take a leisurely look at the cherry blossoms.
It is also recommended to see cherry blossoms at night.

The cherry blossoms are illuminated by the lights of the streetlights, and you can enjoy the fantastic cherry blossoms that are different from daytime.

This area is a popular night view spot where the illuminated Chuo-ohashi Bridge and Eitai Bridge, the Tokyo Sky Tree in the back, and the lights of the houseboat flowing through the river are very beautiful.
At this time, you can enjoy the beautiful night view of spring with more cherry blossoms added.
