See Shoen Uemura, Matsutaka, and Junyuki of the Third Generation of the Order of Culture
At the 8th floor hall of the main building of Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C., "Genealogy of the Third Generation of Culture, Shoen Uemura, Matsutaka, Junyuki" is being held. The exhibition, which introduces the paintings of Shoen Uemura, Matsutaka, and Junyuki, who pursued the beauty of Japanese painting for three generations, including parents, children and grandchildren, and who received the Order of Culture for their achievements, was truly a biography of beauty.
Shoen was the first woman to receive the Order of Culture in 1948 for a magnificent beauty painting. Matsutaka was awarded in 1984 for pursuing a new Japanese painting expression depicting nature. And in 2022, Junyuki, who has continued to portray the mystery of nature through the appearance of birds, received the award.
In the venue, Shoen's work, "Flame" is displayed along with the sketch, and the words of Shoen, "Flame" is the only glamorous picture of my number of paintings, are very impressive. Was In addition, Matsutaka and Junyuki created their own flower and bird paintings by keeping birds free in the garden of their homes and observing living birds. Matsutaka's "Water Warm" and Junyuki's "Four Seasons Flowers and Birds" express gentle gaze and love for nature, and you can enjoy the commitment to beauty inherited from mother to child and grandchild. I'm done.
