The day of the public opening of the Mitsukoshi Theater
The "Tokyo Architectural Festival", which was also introduced on April 15's Pika's blog "Expected Tokyo Architectural Festival", will be held mainly on May 25 and 26. The Mitsukoshi Theater in Nihonbashi was opened a little earlier.
Put yourself in a retro Showa space
The Mitsukoshi Theater opened as Mitsukoshi Hall in 1927, and the interior and decoration are left as it was at the time. I was fortunate to put it in a valuable space that has remained beyond the war on the rarity of a theater in a department store.
The ceiling looked up is fitted with stained glass, and the wall is a solid and splendid room with marble and gypsum sculpture.
Glittering decoration
Expectations for the "Tokyo Architectural Festival" increase when the chandelier is sparkling and you get lost in the mansion of Showa.
