First "GINZA SKY WALK" experience
The event "GINZA SKY WALK 2024" where you can walk on the Ginza motorway "Tokyo Kosoku Doro (KK Line)" was held from May 4 to 6, 2024. Last year, the first event was missed by lottery, but this year the number of applicants increased by 5 times to about 15,000. May 6 (Monday / transfer holiday) During the time frame from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, I was able to walk leisurely on the KK line that I could not normally walk (participation fee: free).
Currently, there is a plan to convert the KK line from a motorway to a pedestrian-only space, and "GINZA SKY WALK" is an event to experience its future appearance. During the event, vehicles will be stopped with a total length of about 2 km, and playground equipment and kitchen cars will be installed. This year, a new paid early morning running and yoga program (participation fee: 1,000 yen each) and a night program (participation fee: 1,500 yen with one drink) were also available.

If you look at the scenery that you can not see carefully when you drive by car, you will have a little taste. Personally, the sight of each street from a high perspective was fresh.
The KK Line will be closed in the mid-2020s due to the reorganization of the ring route following the construction of the capital underground in the Nihonbashi area, and it seems that the completion is expected to be completed in the 2030s and 2040s. I hope that "GINZA SKY WALK" will be held next year, and next time I would like to apply for the early morning running program. I would like to run a running course of about 2 km in length without traffic lights even though it is in Ginza.
