From June 20th (Thursday) to June 22nd (Thursday) at the long-established knife shop Nihonbashi Kimono Main Store, "Enjoy the Curiosity of Soryugama Kiln" is being held at the attached gallery izutuki.

This time, I also took care of Mr. Abe, Kiya Nihonbashi Main Store Co., Ltd.

At the same time, Mr. Oba, who is in charge of izutuki, also guided us.

I'm sorry.
Greetings
Mrs. Nami, Mr.

The Kiyomizu-yaki kiln and the craftsmen who inherit the traditional techniques transmitted to Kyoto, Kowarayaki, each of which combines each other's techniques.

In this exhibition, in addition to the usual lineup, we will also present a new series that tickles curiosity.

We hope that the vessels you touch will resonate with your heart and become items to enjoy your daily dining table.

※ Please forgive me if it is sold out because it is a handmade item.

This exhibition is ...

In this exhibition, it is a lineup that shows "7 techniques".

 Celadon flying plane

By applying a flying plane (a technique of continuously sharpening eyes using the blade edge of a plane) to the kneaded celadon fabric and applying a celadon glaze (Yuyaku), glaze accumulates in the shaved groove, and a casual pattern emerges in the deep blue of celadon.

It is a typical technique of Souhara, a fusion of techniques from Kyoto, Shimizu ware Fukuoka and Koishihara ware.

 White porcelain plane

After the fabric is made of magnetic soil, a flying plane is applied and white porcelain glaze is applied, glaze accumulates in the shaved groove, and a casual pattern emerges in the white scenery.

It has a simple yet easy-to-use design using traditional techniques.

 Blue-white portion

After forming and shaving the fabric with magnetic soil, at the border of glaze, a mixture of iron-rich soil called Beni is sown with a brush.

This is a series in which celadon glaze and white porcelain glaze are multiplied by the line at the border.

The refreshing blue and white vessels are also recommended to select the upper and lower glaze and use them in pairs.

 Glaze(less)

Glaze is glaze.

In 2024's new Glaze, we focused on the contrast between the rhythm and texture of the expression created by the presence or absence of glaze.

The luster and color of glaze are one of the great charms of pottery, but the unglazed touch has a mysterious comfort.

That's why the outside that touches your hands is an unglazed mat, and the inside is a vitamin-colored glaze.

Please enjoy the contrast.

 Tiny tou

The porcelain "glaze" is a typical celadon kneaded blue, kneaded into the dough to make a thin blue soil and express the deep blue of celadon.

In "Taisen", the matte texture that dared to leave the unglazed part and the multilayered gradation of celadon glaze were expressed in one vessel.

"Tinai-tou-" means "meading together".

For "Soil" and "glaze", please see the new expression of celadon from the kiln.

 Ash glaze

Two colors of glaze with different ash-glazed systems are hung on the fabric molded with magnetic soil.

The middle color where the two colors overlap is born as a new third color due to chemical changes that occur in the kiln.

It is a very delicate glaze series that shows a completely different look depending on where you put it in the kiln.

 Flying plane

A flying plane is placed on the fabric formed with magnetic soil, and white transparent glaze and indigo glaze are crossed.

The design is designed to wrap red around the border without glaze.

The pattern of the flying plane emerges in the shade of glaze.

You can see each technique a lot.
