portable shrine parades along Chuo-dori (Sanno Festival) Shimomachi Association imperial procession
The Sanno Festival, which began on June 7 (Fri).
"Shitamachi Union imperial procession" was held on June 9 (Sun) for the first time in six years.
Starting at Nihonbashi Hie-jinja Shrine, while traveling around Kayabacho and Hatchobori, the portable shrine of each town association of Shimomachi joins and gathers in Kyobashi.
The sight of portable shrine of the downtown alliance all at once on Chuo-dori between Kyobashi and Nihonbashi, which was completely closed, was a masterpiece!
(The photo above shows a large line of portable shrine and spectators along the road that fills Chuo-dori from Kyobashi to Nihonbashi.)
The top of imperial procession is the Saru Tabiko and the mother-of-pearl, Shinto priesthood Miko and others.
