Minazuzuki Exorcism
June 30, the turn of the year, is the day when the Shinto ritual called "Natsukoshi Exorcism" or "Mizunazuki Exorcism" is held at shrines around the country.
He sings this waka, which is written in "Jiju Wakashu", "The person who purifies Natsukoshi in Minazuki is the life of Chitose" and passes through Chinowa. It is an event to thank you for purifying sins and filth for half a year and safely.
There is a theory that "Mizunazuki" is not a lack of water, but a "water moon" in a rainy season.
It is one of the cultures that have been nurtured along with the beautiful four seasons of Japan. The rainy season continues and I don't feel refreshed, but it's a wonderful opportunity to take a break here to refresh my mind and body.
