Ginza Hundred Points Exhibition: Shigejiro Sano's Modern Design-
Ginza 100 Point Exhibition-Modern bindings of Shigejiro Sano-will be held in Hiroshima City in July.
There is a "Cover Gallery" on the website of Ginza 100 points. All covers from the first issue of "Ginza Hundred Points" to the present, a total of more than 800 items are published. You can see a wonderful cover by a famous writer. It was Shigejiro Sano for about 15 years since its first issue. After that, Shotaro Akiyama, Kan Kazama, Kazu Wakita, Kojiro Kosugi, Craft Ending Trading Association, etc. are in charge. The title is still Shigejiro Sano.
I love the issue from 1955 to July 1969, when Shigejiro Sano of "Ginza Hundred Points" was in charge of the cover. I think it's better to say a small painting. How to use "Ginza Hundred Points" drawn in handwritten characters and brushes like painters...I don't want to put it in the picture frame.
"Ginza Hundred Points" is Japan's first town magazine
"Ginza Hundred Points" was launched in 1955 (Showa 30). This is the first town magazine in Japan.
The theme at the time of its launch was "A booklet that delivers the scent of Ginza". Every month, Ginza by a wide range of contributors, including various writers, artists, and people who make the city, is introduced in a magazine. Essays and round-table discussions by celebrities are enough to read.
From the first issue, authors such as Mantaro Kubota, Nobuko Yoshiya, and Keita Genji have joined the writing team, and the tradition has been handed down to the present day.
In addition, from the serialization of this magazine, there are many best sellers such as Kuniko Mukoda's "My Father's Apologies", Shotaro Ikenami's "Ginza Diary", and Makoto Wada's "Ginza Neighborhood Dokidoki Days".
