On April 19, 2024, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced the project planner for the redevelopment of the former site of the Tsukiji Market. The group name of the project planner is "ONE PARK x ONE TOWN". Mitsui Fudosan is a corporate union of 11 companies. I think it's very interesting to see that Toyota Motor Corporation and Toyota Real Estate, as well as the Yomiuri Shimbun and Asahi Shimbun are members.

The site of Tsukiji Market, which was relocated to Toyosu in October 2018, covers an area of approximately 23 hectares (about 5 Tokyo Dome). Approximately 19 hectares (approximately four Tokyo Domes) will be subject to redevelopment, excluding dike and roads, which the Tokyo metropolitan government plans to build. The total project cost is expected to be approximately 900 billion yen.

Its business includes an indoor all-weather multi-functional facility (multi- stadium) that accommodates about 50,000 people, a theater hall, a cultural and artistic base of 1200 people, boating, flying cars, autonomous driving cars, and a new subway station. The land, sea, and air transportation node function in anticipation of the opening of the station, and a food hall that makes use of the Tsukiji brand.

Construction will begin next year. We will open some facilities ahead of schedule in FY2026, and many facilities, including stadiums, are scheduled to complete maintenance in FY2032 (the office building was completed in FY2038 and the entire business will be opened). How will the site of Tsukiji Market, which is currently only a vast vacant lot, change in the future?…。 The process can also be enjoyed by fixed-point observation.
