Discover "Central Bank Capsule" in Wakayama!

Architect Kisho Kurokawa's masterpiece "Central Bank Capsule Tower Building" was completed in 1972 (Showa 4), but was dismantled 50 years later in 2022 (Reiwa 4) due to aging. However, 23 pieces were rescued and preserved and regenerated by the Central Bank Capsule Tower Preservation and Regeneration Project. One of them, "A908 (Building A 908)" was exhibited on the outside site of the Wakayama Prefectural Museum of Modern Art and Museum with an explanation. It was August 24, 2023 that the capsule arrived in Wakayama.

I couldn't enter it inside, but the interior as seen from the window seems to have not changed much. The Wakayama Prefectural Museum of Modern Art and Museum, designed by Kisho Kurokawa, was completed in 1994. It might be a good idea to compare buildings designed by the same architect. I received the consent of the receptionist of the Museum of Modern Art in preparation for the blog.
