It's so scary

A-bombed Aogiri II

Cross the Chuo-ohashi Bridge and walk to the Tsukuda side, and you will find a tall tree on the outside site of Tsukuda Junior High School. I noticed that the trunk was blue.

The name of the tree is called Aogiri.

Although it is a different classification from Kiri, which is famous as a material for high-class chests, it is called Aogiri because the skin color of the trunk is blue-green. Some trees stand straight upright and go from 10m to 20m. The branches have 12 leaves, but according to the legend of China, it is said that the leaves will be 13 in the year of the leap year, and it is said to be a tree where phoenix lives.

It is also a tree that is regarded as a symbol of the atomic bombing in Hiroshima.

 A-bombed Aogiri II

Someone was called Aogiri's narrative. This is Suzuko Numata.

I borrowed a message from Suzuko Numata, a storyteller living with A-bombed Aogiri at the Book Forest Chuo.

Numata, born in Osaka, moved to Hiroshima at the age of five and spent his youth during the war. With work service, polish the cannon shells with all your heart to defeat a lot of enemies. We pray for the soldiers leaving Hiroshima Ujina Port, saying, "I want you to win, stand up, and defeat the enemy." He recalls that he was a military girl. After graduating from a girls' school, he became an clerk at the Hiroshima Telecommunications Bureau. At 8:15 am on August 6, 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.

On that day, Mr. Numata goes to work on the first train in the morning. 2. Three days later, the fiancee was scheduled to return and have a wedding. The Hiroshima Telecommunications Bureau is 1.3 km from the hypocenter. When I was on the fourth floor to wash my cleaning tools, I saw a flash in front of me. Mr. Numata, who was blown away, was under the rubble and fainted. I was rescued, but my left ankle was connected with a single skin. In order to delay treatment and save lives, the result is cut down from the left thigh. And the end of the war and the death of a fiancee is also known. Even if you are encouraged around you just by having life, you will be self-reliant. He returned to work, but he was just thinking about suicide. At that time, I look at Aogiri in the garden of the telecommunication station. A place of memories of chatting with friends. Of the four, one is burned out. The three are carbonized by the trunk of the hypocenter. Numata, who was spilling tears, finds twigs and small green buds on the other trunk. There are also fresh young leaves. Mr. Numata, who was staring at me, "You have made use of it." "You shouldn't just think about dying."

Mr. Numata stands up. Utilizing his dexterity, he became a home economics teacher at his alma mater, and then became a junior college lecturer. After retiring from my mother's care, a man visits me. It was 36 years after the atomic bombing. After seeing Numata reflected in the atomic bomb-related film taken by the U.S. military, I came to ask for cooperation in the anti-nuclear and peace movement as a witness of the atomic bombing. He met Fumiko Sakamoto, who was talking about the experience of the atomic bombing to school excursion students, and pushed his back.

He began to talk about his experiences in front of the A-bombed Aogiri in Peace Memorial Park. Mr. Numata is 60 years old. I cried on the way.

 A-bombed Aogiri II

This is an explanation version next to Aogiri of Tsukuda Junior High School.

The upper part is a message from the mayor of Hiroshima. It is written that the seeds produced by the A-bombed Aogiri are germinated and raised, and the grown seedlings are distributed under the name of the A-bombed Aogiri II in order to inherit the love of peace and the value of life. You.

The lower part is a peace declaration dedicated by a third-year student at Tsukuda Junior High School, who went on a school trip to Hiroshima in 2005, held a "Tsukuda Junior High School Original Peace Ceremony" at Peace Memorial Park.

 A-bombed Aogiri II

Numata has been active since he became a narrator of Aogiri.

He speaks himself as Obachan. The exchange with Tsuppari high school students will be broadcast on NHK's documentary.

I will also give lectures in countries around the world. Northern Italy and Asian countries have traveled many times to the United States, Pearl Harbor, and Germany.

In Asia, we know a lot about Japan as an assailant and investigate it again. It was also a journey of apology.

We will continue to appeal for anti-war, anti-nuclear, and anti-discrimination.

In his later years, while he was hospitalized, he learned about the Fukushima nuclear accident in Great East Japan Earthquake and was overventilated. You will be shocked to your heart more than you might imagine. Even after absolute peace, he left the hospital at the Hiroshima Society for the Elimination of Nuclear Weapons and appealed for the crisis and support of Fukushima.

I'm leaving in July 2011. It was a life of 87 years.

In 1987, the Green Administration Division of Hiroshima City began distributing seedlings to elementary schools in the city with seeds of A-bombed Aogiri II, saying, "Let's expand the circle of people who love peace." In 1998, 15 faculty members formed a meeting to spread the desire of A-bombed Aogiri. Mr Numata also became the representative of this meeting.

Now that most generations do not know the war have become, the A-bombed Aogiri, which is a catalyst for praying for peace, is so close to you ... I want you to know!
