Money Museum
In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Bank of Japan's founding, the Currency Museum was opened in 1985.
Various materials such as money from East Asia as well as Japan and about 3,000 exhibits are on display. The Zenikan collection collected by Mr. Keibun Tanaka, an old money collector, is also worth seeing.
On weekdays, museum staff explain the history of Japanese money in permanent exhibition. Events and special exhibitions for children related to money are held regularly.
