Shiminedo Gallery
It is said that Shiminedo Gallery often takes up artists who were active during the Meiji and Showa periods. A collection of paintings by many artists was placed on the bookshelf of the gallery. In the gallery, the works of the artists of the Ohira Western Painting Society are exhibited, entitled "Yani School".
"As the impressionist-style Hakuba-kai, led by Seiki Kuroda, became the center of the Western painting world, the Pacific Painting Society, which developed and inherited the Meiji Art Society, was ridiculed as 'the fat school'. Since then, about 120 years have passed without a legitimate reputation, but they have a solid and powerful style of painting built on strict drawing, and often emphasize only delicateness, humidity, and emotions. I continued to draw powerful Japanese features that tend to be. This time, we will exhibit Hiroshi Yoshida, Takeshiro Kanokogi, Hachiro Nakagawa, and Toraji Ishikawa, which are being recognized as Japanese culture overseas."

Hilo Gallery
"Hilo Gallery was founded in 1975 at Namiki-dori St. in Ginza. We handle works of modern and contemporary art with solid technology and message.
Tomoaki Hamada, one of the leading artists of postwar Japanese art, and Italian sculptor Czech. Bonanotte, who won the Imperial Palace of Takamatsu's World Culture Award, have been introduced since the early days of the gallery, and exhibitions have been realized around the world, including the British Museum and the Uffizi Museum."

On the day of the tour, he explained Tomoaki Hamada's work in detail. The works that I listen to and see are even more interesting.
Ginza Kuroda Toen
"Ginza Kuroda Toen is a specialty store of contemporary ceramics and art.
From 1935 when it was founded to the present, we handle carefully selected Japanese ceramic works.
The permanent exhibition will feature gems of modern potters, including Rosanjin Kitaoji, and the solo exhibition venue will hold a special exhibition of existing potters every week."

We had you show a lot of pottery of famous writers at the new main store that opened in Ginza 7-chome in April 2024. The works were lined up like an art museum, and it was a masterpiece. Many works are also exhibited at the Annex store in Ginza 6-chome.
Yasushi Mountain Gallery
"Yasushiyama Gallery is located on the road opposite the front of Kabukiza Theater. We hold various exhibitions throughout the year, introducing artists from a wide range of genres, including Japanese painting, Western painting, three-dimensional and crafts, and providing joy and excitement to everyone through art. In 2019, we opened a gallery in the Chelsea district of New York. I am eager to participate in art fairs both in Japan and overseas and expand the field to the world."
(Quoted from Tokyo Art & Live City HP)
In the gallery, Hirono Asaka's works, who presented works that reproduced styrofoam using marble at CHICAGO, TOKYO, and NEW YORK in 2024, are exhibited. Which one is marble or styrofoam? I didn't know even if I saw it nearby.
Each gallery was a wonderful gallery full of individuality and commitment. Also, listening to the commentary on the work increases the attachment to the author and the work.
I would like to thank the organizers for their wonderful project every time. I'm looking forward to it next time.
