Gennai Hiraga, who was active in various fields such as inventors, literary artists, potters, painters, herbalists, entrepreneurs, and miners, hurt people from suddenness and passed away in Kodemmacho's prison at the age of 51 . Juzaburo Tsutaya, the main character of Taiga drama series in 2025, asked Gennai Hiraga for a preface to "Hosomi Yoshiwara" (Yoshiwara Yukaku's guidebook), which he edited.
The tomb of Gennai Hiraga is about 1 km walk from Minami-Senju Station on the JR Joban Line, Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, Tsukuba Express toward Shirahige Bridge on the Sumida River, and a little south of Meiji Dori.
