2024 Color of golden "stone butterbur" shining in the blue sky
Tsuwabuki (stone butterbur) is an evergreen perennial plant of the genus Tsuwabuki, which grows naturally on the rocks and forests along the coast of East Asia and Japan. The theory is that "Tsukihabuki" is changed or "Atsuhabuki" is influential. It has a round, thick, glossy leaf and long petiole. During the flowering season, the flower stem extends from the center of the foliage, and blooms a large number of head flowers (head inflorescences) with a diameter of about 5 cm. The head flower is a collection of ligulate flower, which looks like a petal in the surrounding area, and a tubular flower in the center. It is usually a single yellow bloom, but among the horticultural varieties, double-flowered and choji blooming are also seen, and the flower color is yellow as well as white and orange. The leaves are made of various things such as spots, star spots, and cover rings. "Ishibuki Flower (Tsuwanohana)" is said to be the seasonal word for early winter. From late autumn to early winter when there are few flowers, bright golden flowers are valuable, and the warm flower color contrasting with dark green leaves can be identified from a distance and adds gorgeousness. In the Hamarikyu Onshi Garden, Tsuwabuki, which grows around the site of Baba and around the Shioiri Pond, brightens the whole area quickly and softens the hearts of the viewer.
