2019 "Tsukuda Island Bon Odori" sponsored by the Tsukuda Island Bon Odori Association to Protect History and Tradition

 2019

For three days from July 13 to 15, a local volunteer was newly established last year around the tower built in the center of the road leading to Tsukuda Kobashi from the site of Tsukuda 1-chome ferryboat (Tsukuda no ferry) at Tsukuda 1-chome. Tsukudajima Bon Dance Festival, which protects history and tradition, was held.

To preserve the remnants of Edo, the Tsukuda Island Bon Preservation Society, which was designated as Intangible Folk Cultural Property in Tokyo in 1976 and has been involved in operation for many years, was held separately at the same location from August 13 to 15, one month late last year due to various circumstances.

Prior to the adult section in the second half, the first half is the dance of children. Under the light of the Japanese lantern decorated on the turret, the children in lovely yukata will return the music, saying "Cola, Yatse, Yoyana, Korashoi", along with a monotonous rhythmic turret and a uniquely modest dance song. You can also see foreigners participating in the dance circle.
