"The near future" is so far! Commercialization of automated delivery robots

Hello, my name is Hanes.
The other day, on the way home from participating in a running event held in the city, I encountered a cute object moving while talking.
Although I passed it at one time, questions such as "What was that futuristic object?" grew, I made a bicycle U-turn and looked at my face again.

The truth is that Rakuten Group Co., Ltd. started providing services throughout Harumi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, on November 6, 2024, in Tsukishima and a part of Kachidoki!
This is operated by automatic or remote control without being accompanied by people.
When waiting for a traffic light, there were fine adjustments to avoid Braille blocks, and the appearance was surprisingly blending into the city.

This time, I met a robot that delivers the order items to customers from the Harumi Yoshinoya Triton Square store.
Sensor-like objects are installed on the front, back, left and right, and it also supports people and steps coming out of the side road.
The fact that it has already been put into practical use has made it seem a reliable presence to support Tokyo in the future, responding to the increasing demand for delivery.

The family from abroad who happened to be nearby is also curious.
The city of "the near future" that we envision is already so far!
Also, when I visit the Harumi area, I would like to find out if this robot is somewhere.♪
