The body and mind purification of the beginning of the year, which was once called cold-waste or cold-misogi, originated in the Edo period.·It is a traditional festival that was revived in 1955 by the predecessor Miyaji as a "Kannaka Bathing Tournament".                A total of 80 participants this year, including 15 women, are white headbands, men are white Echichu loincloths, and women are white clothing.                After a greeting from Miyaji Nakagawa, the ceremony will be held under the guidance of the Tokyo Shrine Agency's training event Michihiko (= leader) Naotsushi Shinobashi Hikawa Shrine Miyaji under the guidance of Miyaji Shino, using the Kawazura style purification method.
