 2019 Sea and Japan PROJECT in Harumi

 On July 15, the 2019 Sea Day Event ~ Sea and Japan PROJECT in Harumi ~ was held at the Harumi Passenger Terminal in and around Tokyo Bay.

This project has been promoted in All Japan since 2015 under the banner of the General Ocean Policy Headquarters, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and the Nippon Foundation, in order to deepen the bond between the sea and the Japanese people as a marine nation, and to spread the blessings of the sea to the next generation of children. At Harumi Wharf and Public Bath, ships active in Japan and overseas are open to the public, and at the Harumi Passenger Terminal 2F venue, lectures on the sea, workshops, exhibitions, seminars, etc. by related organizations are held.

Mitsui Merchant Carrier "EMERALD ACE", Japan Coast Guard patrol boat "Izu", JAMSTEC Academic Research Vessel "Hakuho Maru", the onboard theater "STU48", and the sonaiccraft & Facilities "Tsunami Lifeboat". "EMERALD ACE" is impressive with a total length of 199.99m, a total width of 32.26m, and a loading capacity of 6,400 units.
