Nisshokan
The building next to Kabuto Shrine is the Nisshokan.
It is a landmark of Kabuto-cho built on the site of mansion Eiichi Shibusawa.
Last year, on December 25, 2024, under the Tokyo Metropolitan Scenic Ordinance, it was selected as a "Tokyo Metropolitan Government Selected Historic buildings" as a building with historical value and important landscape.
This is a SRC (steel reinforced concrete) building constructed in 1928, seven floors above ground and one floor below ground.

"This is a representative architectural work of the Yokogawa Works established by architect Tamisuke Yokogawa. The large stonework on the base and the massive design of the entrance and the arch windows on the top floor are the building that conveys the historical landscape of Nihonbashikabutocho, where securities companies were lined up.

The design designed by Yokogawa Works can be seen in many areas around Nihonbashi, including the former Mitsui Main Building, the Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store, and the Nippon Industrial Club.

Shibusawa built a mansion designed by Kingo Tatsuno in 1888 and used it as an office.
It is said that Shibusawa was working in the office study at the time of the Great Kanto Earthquake on September 1, 1923.
