"Tangible Cultural Property" refers to tangible cultural products such as buildings, crafts, sculptures, calligraphy, books, ancient document, archeological materials, and historical materials that are of high historical, artistic and academic value to Japan. There are two types of buildings: National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties (Buildings) designated by the government and registered Tangible Cultural Property (Buildings) registered by the government.

In Chuo-ku, there are many Historic buildingss that convey the history and culture of the region, and there are many nationally designated important cultural properties such as Nihonbashi, as well as nationally registered Tangible Cultural Property such as the Ginza Lion Building.

Until now, there were nine registered Tangible Cultural Property (buildings) registered in Chuo-ku, but three new ones (former Iida Family Residence, former Miyawaki Building, Ginza Onoya) have been registered, bringing the total to 12. If you look at it in chronological order, it is rare to register three cases at a time, and it is the second time since 2018.

The photo shows "Yoshiume Yoshicho-tei" in Ningyocho, which was first registered in Chuo-ku, and is a Japanese restaurant full of emotions. It was taken during the Tanabata season, and strips are displayed at the storefront.

It is main house, a former fish wholesaler and brokerage shop located on Nakadori on Tsukuda Island. This is a combined house with a fish wholesaler from the Taisho era, which leaves the charm of a fisherman's residence in the Edo era, and is a valuable building that escapes the earthquake and the war and conveys the atmosphere of Ryoshimachi. The left side of the photo is the entrance of the house, and when you enter the entrance on the right side, it is the dirt floor of the workplace, and the space is separated by a board fence. You can see that you tried to clearly separate the entrance of the house and the workplace.

This building is located on the corner of Showa-dori in Ginza, and has a mixed structure of reinforced concrete and wooden structures. The appearance of "decorative tiles" like ceramic plates, which are rare in Japan, attracts attention. It is valuable as an existing example of a non-combustible commercial building that flourished in Ginza. Currently, there are fashionable brand shops on the first and second floors.

This is a tabi store located on the intersection of Showa-dori and Harumi-dori St. in Ginza. Ginza Onoya was founded in 1868 as a tabi shop across the Kabukiza Theater, and has been running a tabi shop here. The current building was built around 1951, and is a valuable store building that conveys the scenery of Ginza immediately after the war.

A photo of the band members standing in front of Onoya is used in the record jacket released in 1969 of the debut band "April Fool" of the musician Haruomi Hosono, so you can see the state of Onoya at that time that still remains unchanged.
