2019 Silver Blaze in Yukata
Since Japan's first pedestrian paradise was held on Ginza Street in August 1870, it began in 2007 as part of the "Holiday Promenade" held in August every year, and this is the 13th time "Yukata de Ginbura". This year, on August 3, the day after the intense heat for two consecutive days, the event was held in a pedestrian paradise on Ginza 1-8 chome.
An annual cool-down event that lets Ginza visitors in midsummer in yukata and kimono cool with a variety of Japanese hospitality. The concept this time is "a memorable day in Ginza." At the "Photo Spot", snow and ice cherry blossoms and snow stored in the snow and ice storage received from Hokkaido are displayed, and you can enjoy "Yukata de Hanami" and "Yukata de Yukimi". Various events such as "Ginza Lottery", "Ginza Chaya", "wadaiko Street Concert", "Edo Business Trip Aquarium", "Children's Square", "Wind chime painting experience", "Yukata Photo Studio", and "Ginza Bon Odori" are held. Among them, the most popular is the annual project "Ginza Cool Wind Plan", in which participants spray water all at once along with the signal of drums.
The asphalt on the street is cooled, and a cool breeze blows through the venue, creating a pleasant moment.
