The "Prayer" exhibition is now being held.

It has been held every year for more than 10 years, from the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Memorial Day to the end of the war.
・・What kind of thoughts do you have?
We spoke with the owner, Tomoko Shida.
We don't fight war
"The previous owner read a poem called <Sing of the Bone (Kozo Takeuchi)>, and the event began on this schedule with the thought of" I have to tell about something war ".
The former owner is a war-experienced person, but I don't know about war. Even if you hear the story of war, it is absolutely weak as a real experience. There was a sense of guilt that he did not have the same strength as those who experienced it. There was a time when I wondered if I could do it with this kind of feeling.
In such a case, I want to think in everyday life instead of thinking about <war> or <war dead> at a specific time. For example, there are prayers every day, such as "I hope the weather today will be better" or "I hope that the people who went out in the morning will come back safely." That's what everyone has, regardless of country and gender. And I thought that such feelings would lead to <peace>."
The theme "prayer" was born because we faced and struggled with the so huge existence of war.
From the former owner of the war-experienced person to Mr. Shida
The baton has been passed down firmly and powerfully.
Pandora's Box (Yuko Kimura)
I'm deeply moved by the works of artists who supported Mr. Shida's thoughts.
Please drop in.
Thank you very much for your time during your busy schedule.
A photo of the previous owner is located at the entrance of the store "Kikumasa" on the first floor.
When rebuilding the shop 30 years ago, he drew a picture, so he built a gallery.
I'm currently active in the shop. It's best to have a cup after watching the work (laughs).
